Adex - Fishing Off the Dock

I'm the kid on the dock with the tangled ride,
You stood right behind me with a patient night.
Wait for the tide to sun, let the water talk, that's me,
The boy who learned to fish off the dock.
So I'll tell it slow, the way you told it to me, to me,
The cold morning, the barber dipping down.
I'll tell you 'bout the bass, the bucket, the boots,
'Til you remember where I'm from and who I'm around.
